This is the beginning of something fun and exciting!

Hello!

This is the very first post of our FOFCC Health & Wellness Blog.  The pupose of this blog will be to share health testamonies and give love and encouragement to each other, as we seek God's wisdom and take necessary actions to improve our health.  God has blessed us all with a portion of health, and it is up to us to be good stewards and take care of ourselves!

Part of my health testimony is that I was a smoker for over 25 years, up to 2-packs per day.  I was also mal-nourished and dehydrated, with a diet consisting of soda, coffee, and void of fresh fruit and vegetables.  But one day I had a health scare and  much needed wake-up call.  I prayed for strength to quit smoking for good, which he helped me to do.   I prayed and asked God to give me the desire to eat and drink what would heal my body.  I specifically asked Him to give me a taste or craving for water, instead of soda.  I specifically asked Him to help me crave salads and apples, instead of fast food.  I also asked Him to give me the desire to learn about proper nutrition and healthy foods.  The final thing I asked Him for was that He give me the desire to exercise, as this was something I always avoided.  Well, God answered my prayers, and although I am not perfect, I will say that at age 52, I feel healthier than I did at age 22.

Wishing you all the best!
